PoppyVideo is an independent live video platform for adults. No parent company, no franchise, no affiliation with any other chat or social app — just a small product with one strong opinion.

The Opinion

Meeting people online got slow. Somewhere between the feeds, the follower counts and the carefully lit profile photos, the actual person disappeared. You can spend a week inside most social apps without ever sharing a moment with anyone.

We think the fix is embarrassingly simple: put the live moment first. On PoppyVideo, the first thing that happens is a face-to-face conversation, not the last thing you earn after enough engagement. Everything in the product — the browsing, the matching, the one-tap exit — exists to protect that order.

What We Care About

Control comes before features. Every conversation on PoppyVideo can be skipped or ended in one tap, by either person, at any moment. The community is strictly 18+, reporting and moderation are real, and privacy isn't a settings page — it's the default shape of a one-on-one call with no audience attached.

We'd rather be good at one thing than mediocre at everything. PoppyVideo doesn't do feeds, followers, streaks or public rooms. It does live video between two real people, and it tries to do that better every month.

Independence matters to us for a practical reason: it means the product answers to the people using it, not to a growth chart somewhere upstream. When we say adults-only, camera-first and leave-anytime, those aren't positioning lines — they're constraints we build within, release after release.
